How to set up a 301 redirect

Depends on the web server software. I can't post links but google "webconfs how to redirect a web page" and take the top pick (not advert). It looks fairly comprehensive and accurate.

With respect, I think the OP knows what a 301 redirect is, otherwise the question would not have been asked. Cutting and pasting information like this is unhelpful but hey, it is another post onto your account.
