how to sell .....

Hi

I am making xmas meat hampers

a selection of meat for x amount

Anyone have any ideas of the best way to sell them

I am thinking door to door, flyers just wondering if anyone has any other ideas??

Flyers, you could give very targetted facebook ads a go.

How about local newspapers, leaflets on the notice boards of shops (although I doubt places like asda & tesco will let you put one on theirs) and also maybe try the more personal touch of handing leaflets out on the high streets or outside shops with similar customers to who you are targeting (waitrose if you are selling good quality for a higher price, aldi if your hampers are more for people who are on a budget ect...)

I wouldnt buy meat from a door knocker, I'd be worried where it came from. You could try farmers markets etc, the stalls are usually very cheap to rent by the day.

I once put stacks of my leaflets in super markets next to similar products they were selling, and they were there for weeks before anyone working there realised they wern't meant to be.

Aldi for people on a budget personally i find Aldi's food always good quality for a reasonable price and waitrose just a rip off. not making a point of it but alot tend to mark Aldi as some cheapo store when they have never shopped there, I did to tell the truth then decided to have a look and now I shop there all the time Good quality at a good price and they do some fantastic deals on electrics to.

Nor would I buy meat from a door knocker as I would be concerned that it may be stolen or even more brutally killed than they are in the slaughterhouses.

This does sound an unfair prejudice but I would think there is all kinds of regulation with this such as dates, storage etc. I really do not know much about this but I think if you did get all this covered then leafleting door to door may be a good way.

I agree with you, I shop there as well as lidl every now and again for fruit and veg. What I was saying though was that people who shop in places like that are generaly shopping on a low budget, where as people who shop in places like waitrose will have a larger budget.
