How to get data on businesses?

I wondered if you could help me.

I need to buy information on independent bookshops across the UK.

How would I go about getting this information and how much would it cost? (rough guide?).

I need bulk data to import to a new website... I could spent 6 months looking through the yellow pages, but ideally I want to buy the data in bulk?

They have a *lot* of data, but they can do filtered searches if you email them with your requirements.

I know a friend of mine managed to get hold of a list of Funeral Service provides in the UK, I want something similar to that, but for bookshops.

They can certainly filter by SIC code, and geographically by postcode too.

Lots of mailing list companies you can approach do verify the data? Perhaps ask in the sales and marketing forum
