You could write 'how to' or 'benefits of' type posts, surrounding canvas printing. But without knowing much about the subject matter it's kind of hard to advise.

To set up a Blog, I use Wordpress as it is simple and easy to use, with many plugins available to help it have all the functionality that you need.

Best of luck,

Susan

Sorry Susan, im going to sound even stupider now.....:D

i would set up my own blogg on my site?

I was under the impression i could write on other peoples that are already up and running with many articles from many people?

You have two choices - you could guest blog on other people's blogs - find blogs that might be of interest to you and then contact the owner, offering to write a piece for their blog.

Or, you could set up your own blog (use wordpress - if your site is hosted by a good company then they should be able to help you do this, if not lots of people here (myself included) would be happy to help talk you through the process.)

What might be good for you to blog about (on your own blog) is - with the buyers permission - posting a blog entry about the latest canvas's you have produced, with a great pic of said canvas. e.g.

"I recently produced this canvas for Fred, who supplied me with a picture of his beautiful garden which we then turned into this stunning canvas print" along with a picture of the canvas.

People love their 15 mins of fame and Fred will then Tweet, email & Facebook his friends to show them that he is mentioned online and 'look at my great new pic', driving traffic your way.

The idea above may need a little refining, but it could be worth a pop.

Hi, you can blog on other peoples sites or submit articles to the likes of ezines.

You can also comment on blog posts relevant to your field. If you go to google and search for "google alerts" you can subscribe to blog updates for say "canvas printing", select blogs from the drop down menu, and Google will email you a list of upto 50 new blogs about "Canvas printing" each day.

Go to the blog, have a read through, and if you have something relevant to say leave your name or anchor text, along with the url, and the comment.

Most blogs will have moderators approving them to prevent spam, but providing it's a relevant comment you should be fine.

you might want to run a few alerts, canvas printing might only bring up other canvas printers selling their services... if you look for more "branding" type terms, you might be able to go on and say "you're right about branding being blah blah blah, we often get asked to print logos onto our canvases for offices..." - maybe less salesy- but you get the idea.

Good luck!

I recommend you create your own blog, if you want SEO benefits and control over backlinks to your site. Maybe start a 'How to blog for canvas printing' keep it fresh and relevant not just focusing on your own site and self promotion.

This will be very easy to do using Wordpress and any number of freely downloadable themes on the net. Buy a cheap domain name and setup on your hosting package. Most hosting companies have one click installers for Wordpress via the cPanel, so you can be up and blogging in minutes.

Getting hold of a good book about Wordpress will help you get the best blog setup. I recommend 'Digging into Wordpress' as this covers all areas from installing WP to finished blog and it comes with a couple of themes, discount code below.
