How do I do this from a UK landline?

What codes do I need to use etc?

I don't think you can call toll free US numbers from a UK landline.

the code for the US is 001

You may however be able to call it from a www.skype.com VOIP line

Yes install skype from www.skype.com add some calling credit and set it up as per their instructions.

Then follow their clear instructions on their site.

Another great company for calling the States (but not toll free numbers) is http://www.18866.co.uk

They charge 2p per minute to a landline or mobile.

Just so there is no confusion your number should look like this

001-800-404-8319

do not add 001 to you number, you just add 00.

US toll free numbers normally have a message at the beginning that says if you are calling from abroad you will be charged.
