Just wondering, yes I have staff working remotely atm, just about, some on Furlough and some not, however, I'm paying rent to my landlord still but not been using the office since lockdown, and I can't claim the rates grant due to not being eligible due to size of office etc and set up. So, was wondering, is there anything to help to cover the cost of the office atm to help out?

Thanks in advance and stay safe all and positive!

Nothing you can do.

I have an Office building empty three months doing nothing exactly the same.

I asked our landlords if they could support and they agreed to charge me 50% of rent for three months as long as I agreed to pay the other 50% over the following year.

So it’s not saving me anything as such, but it is helping my cash flow slightly. Your landlord might be more supportive? Some might offer a greater discount in return for a-longer term lease or perhaps a rent free period? You need to contact them and ask.

But no support anywhere unless you can qualify for the bounce back loan but you still have to pay it back. The only free money as such is the council grant,

Good luck

There are a couple of loan schemes. One quite cheap and quick, the other much slower and needing a lot more info.
Each is debt though so not suitable for all businesses.

We're in a similar situation and the landlord is the local council, but basically all you can get is deferred payments, etc, which makes no difference to what you actually pay in the end. So we're paying thousands essentially for posh furniture storage ;)
