Help automating email responses

Hi All, I'm hoping that someone out there has done something similar to what I am trying to acheive or has some thoughts.

I don't want to do anything earth shattering.

I want to have a signup form (or page) on my website that allows the customer to choose an area of interest and collects some basic info (name, email, Phone no, company, company size)
Then I want to send out a standard email based on what they choose
Then I want to send out a follow-up email after a few days
And I want to send another follow up a few days after that.

I want to collect the information in some form of CRM system.

We're not talking huge numbers, possibly 20-30 per month.

The good news is that we don't have a CRM at the moment so can use anything. Ideally, it is going to be something priced for an SME but we don't mind paying for a great solution.

Has anyone done anything like this? Any ideas?

Have a look at HubSpot CRM where you can create forms and integrate on your website, only downside is free version display their branding on your website though.

HubSpot has a great support team, give them a ring and will guide you through it. Even free users has access to their support.

Do you really need a CRM? Mailchimp does exactly what you want.

If your looking for a custom solution where the data isnt being spread across of load of service providers like hubspot and mailchimp then the task you are asking for is not too difficult at all, could be a quick custom page or if you want built into a wordpress base (so you can manage pages and content easy).

https://www.klaviyo.com/ is much better than Mailchimp and will do exactly what you want

I wrote a custom solution for our customers, it was a promoted form, so could give different options and responses. It then sends out the data that is suited to customer and stores the information in a database that we can then access. It also stores information as it's typed so even if the form isn't finished we can contact them as a follow up.

Yes I think we do, this is just a start on our marketing automation route and we need a central CRM as the hub (pun intended)

I would have a proper think about what you want, nothing worse than getting into something to find out it's not right

For our client we started with a basic form that emailed the responses and then was dealt with manually, this resulted in them changing what they thought they wanted. As a result the system built fitted them exactly, if we had built to the first brief it would not have been right.

Lots of options, planning is key and always start with the minimal viable product, i.e. the basic system and work up

As above, I’ve built forms and email systems with customer management functions all within the Wordpress dashboard. Easily expandable and totally custom to your needs. Pay once and it’s yours forever.

Mailchimp does exactly what you want.

As above MailChimp can send an initial email plus additional ones at certain timespans after the initial one.

Monday is good for this as I use it for something similar plus a load of other useful stuff.
