Good Afternoon
Just a quick introduction to our company.
We are Freightbrain International Ltd, Essex. We have been trading for over 30 years now and have many loyal and long-standing customers - some still with us from day 1. We are a freight-forwarding and logistics company and have many clients who came to us totally new to importing or exporting without much knowledge in how to go about successfully shipping around the world. We have stayed a small tightly run company for a reason which is we are able to treat all our customers as not just a number - not just "another shipment" - but as partners and many who we have to come to regard as friends.
We do not claim to be the biggest - as if biggest is always best? No, we are just totally focused on doing what we do best which is listening to our customers, protecting them and working with their interests at heart. We are small enough to be nimble in the freight market, getting the best sport rates without being committed to any one shipping line or airline, who might increase rates or where their service level deteriorates. We are able to give much closer attention to importers and exporters, understanding what they require, doing the work of handling overseas shipping , progress-chasing factories on behalf of customers via our well established network of overseas agents.
Unlike many of our freight-forwarding competitors who conduct their business from an office, we also own our fully secure warehouse in Braintree, Essex. This offers much flexibility to our clients - we are then able to pretty much take care of the whole shipping process. From supplying factory, for example in China, to your end customers via our range of warehousing and distribution options. We also have warehousing solutions in and around all the major UK ports and a fully bonded warehouse facility at London Heathrow.
When you are new to something (such as shipping) you have many questions.
How do I proceed?
For free and impartial advise, you are more than welcome to give us a call to discuss any aspect of importing and exporting. Some of your questions might be: What do I need to import to the UK? How do I arrange shipping from the factory? What paperwork do I need? What about import Vat & Duty? Letters of Credit, Terms of Sale, Marine insurance. None of this needs to worry you - we can help in all these areas. Let us take care of the shipping - allowing you to concentrate on your sales.
The recent fall in GBP/USD exchange rate has already had quite a big impact on importers - it effects freight-forwarders too as all freight rates are generally quoted in USD. But together there are ways to mitigate these added costs. Together with asking supplying factories to reduce their unit prices, there are opportunities to take a fresh look at all the elements involved - including the freight costs. Do contact us to have a look at whether we can improve what you are currently doing, saving a little on the transport really can help. Get the timing right, for example looking at when shipping lines are about to increase or decrease rates and time shipment departures accordingly. There are lots of ways you (we) can be nimble and ultimately save money.
I am more than happy to give all UK Business Forum members advise and will endeavor to fully engage in discussions where appropriate. You can PM us if you like.
In the meantime, further information can be found on our website (which I cannot link to as a new member of UKBF ) but if you google Freightbrain International Ltd we should be top of the page.
Thanks
