Hi there everyone! :D

My name is Jamie Cooke, and I am a Customer Services Manager with Glasgow Cultural Enterprises (GCE). I am based in the City Halls, Glasgow's oldest entertainment venue which has recently re-opened to the public after a £15 million refurb. GCE are also responsible for running the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and the Celtic Connections Festival.

I started this job in December, and I am responsible for the 'Front of House' operations of the venue, i.e. the Customer Care that patrons receive when they attend a show, event or function.

I'm hoping to use the Business Forums as a way to build up contacts with other people involved or interested in business, particularly the entertainment sector, and as a way to learn and develop my Customer Care ideas and approaches.

Thanks for reading!

JC

Hi Jamie,
Welcome to the forums. I am based just West of Glasgow and attend quite a few events in the concert hall. I also used to be involved in the arts, and a lot of my freinds are professional musicians. One of whom is planning a series of concerts across Scotland, so I'll get in touch when she is looking to book venues.

Hi Jamie and welcome.
Cultural Enterprises? Scotland hasn't had culture since The Proclaimers opted out of the scene  .
Cheers, Nigel

The Scots are coming! I'm impressed at how many fellow Scots are on here, glad I joined.

Sparkly Scotty, get in touch at any point. Same goes for anyone else!

As for the lack of culture since the Proclaimers - who said they had gone anywhere!!!

Anyway, there is other culture - how else would you explain the Krankies...?!? =)
