Hi everybody, I’m James. I am the owner of a small construction and timber framing company in Norfolk-just North of Norwich. Not sure if I’m allowed to name it?? King and Company.
I am also the co-owner of a small bespoke joinery manufacturer here too, called Rosser and King
Both websites are being re-worked at present..........
UKBF comes up a lot when I am looking for advice online, so I thought I would take the opportunity to join and hopefully gain from others knowledge and, if I can, share my own.
My aim, for my business, over the next 12months is to channel the direction the business’s go in, this means the type of work we do, but also the way that we get work/new enquiries.
My business has seen rapid growth over the last 18months, partly because of a hard earned reputation for quality and service, but undoubtedly, also helped by a general understanding of Google Ads.
We are now in a situation where we have a full complement of highly skilled tradesmen on our full time crew-this means that the type of work we are looking for has changed. We need to start looking at scaling up to the next size/value jobs, and making sure that our reputation matches the work we seek.
What I want to try and do is build relationships with Architects, Structural Engineers, Planning Consultants and other construction professionals in the area. I’m less interested in getting onto to tender lists-more interested in being recommended as a professionals choice. WHat we offer seems to be lacking, on the whole, i the area. We are dynamic and hungry to seek new methods or to perfect old ones depending on situation. We are a very modern building company (for Norfolk especially).
Basically, if anyone can offer me any hints or advice as to where to focus my efforts in regards to marketing and advertising etc. I do a reasonable amount of direct liasing by just picking up the phone and organising meetings, but does anyone know of a way to get in front of groups of the right people etc
Likewise, if there is anything I can do to help anyone-feel free to get in touch.
Thanks for having me!
