I am at the end of my tether with BT and I want to switch to another business phone provider. All we need is a simple set-up with a couple of internet phones. Anyone got recommendations?

Thanks, I'll take a look. How do their costs stack up against BT's? This is not really about price, it's about service and support but naturally I'd be interested to know

Happy to help :-)

Vonage are ok, but please don't give you money to an American company when there are plenty of UK providers that can do the job for you.

Are Vonage etc actually an alternative to bt? Surely you still need a bt line to use voip, unless you use Virgin?

I would recommend Dial 9: https://www.dial9.co.uk

Plus of course Voipfone have a presence here and are frequently recommended by UKBF members. I would definitely agree with the sentiment of choosing a UK provider where possible for your VOIP services.

It does not matter what phone company you use you will always need a BT open reach line outside of London
You cant get a contract with Burger King !:D

You can actually transfer your BT line to another provider so that you never have to deal with BT again, but it will still technically be a BT line.
I use Zen Internet for everything to do with broadband, as they are by far the best business broadband provider, and also transferred my BT line over to them as well. They do also offer VOIP. I have been using them for years now for business and home.

Checkout their reviews on Trustpilot.

Although Plusnet is actually owned by BT Group it operates separately and the costs for businesses services are much less and my experience is service is much better.

As for voip phones - well that is easy voipfone
