We should have a list of the 20 Britons alive today that make this country something special.

I'll kick it off with Stephen Fry.

I'm glad a number of people agree about Alan Bennett. If you haven't read his latest - a short novel called 'The Uncommon Reader' - can I hugely recommend it. I read it recently in a few hours while on holiday, and couldn't stop chuckling all the way through.

I was merly expressing my opinion as to what I though of young peoples ideas of Great Britains.

No one do history at school then,probably to busy watching celebrity whatsit.

I suppose you think a logarithm is a canadian lumber jack dance or some sort of old fashioned birth control.

Strewth give me strength.First time in history kids have been dumber than there parents.

Hi Earl, this list was "living" great Britons so history doesn't really come into it.
Plus, if "kids are dumber than there parents" does that make you a kid because that should be "their" - oh yeah, and it should be "too" not "to"
