Getting Finance?

I can see where this is going, you are trying to get me to tell you exactly what I have that can turnover £400k in a week only through an advert in a local newspaper and radio station, but I am not going to tell anyone until I have enough backing to go national.

Thanks for all your thoughts and concerns but I can handle everything myself.

If you are already selling your product and advertising on the radio/local paper then whats to stop you saying what it is...

Same principle applies, if the service you offer is already available to the public then I fail to see what the big secret is.

Again if you read the whole thread you would understand that this is unique and before I broadcast a great money earner to the world I would like to already be setup nation-wide.

Why would a service need a £2m machine?

I assume local advertising has appealed to domestic customers too not commercial?

I don't think anyone intends to brush you aside just for the sake of it, but if you can't explain your idea properly on here or atleast supply a copy of the advert so they knew what the service was and could make an educated informed decision on how to go about your finance needs then it will lead them to believe you are lying - don't you think?

With the huge praise on the Blackpool FC topic of the owner taking £11m out nobody on here is against an individual making money!

As mentioned, anyone can make sales if they don't have a product - and sales turnover doesn't equal profit either!

It seems a very tough topic to answer with a lack of information. On what you have said, it's pretty impossible for people to advise what to do.

Leasing, Factoring, Angel Investment - seems the only viable options on the information you have given. There may be some EU or Government grants available depending on the service your offering - we don't know what the service is though?

If you where on Dragons Den, they would be out by page 2 because you can't/won't convey what your business does, sells, makes profit per sale, etc etc etc!

The main thing to remember is finance is available for viable propositions - you won't get advise if nobody can work out if it is viable though.

Im not here to discuss the ins and outs of my service, I came here looking for finance companies, I have had a couple of good suggestions. Also an actual finance company wont ask to discuss business details on an open forum.

If that's the case you did not need mention your current sales and advertising methods.

They ask to discuss it though - and you came here asking for advice.

If you want the right advice people need information. On what you have given there could half a dozen of ways to finance it;

Bank Loan
Factoring
Investment
Leasing
Grants
Credit/Debit Card Cash Advance

But there's no point pursing 1 if it's not available for your business. That's the only reason anyone is asking what it is.

Really? I mentioned it because finance companies might see that it is viable and even with the large amounts of money involved it can turnover a lot of money.

also not every bank loans that amount of money hence me asking here!

I've got it chaps!

Searching through tinternet for £2m machinery I stumbled across the 1990s printworks sell off at www.royalmint.gov.uk. You can pick up a last generation £20 note printing machine for £1,999,000 plus £500 for delivery.

I suspect the advert was along the lines of "£20 note, yours for a tenner". In the first week there was recorded interest in 20k notes, but the take up can only grow with more marketing and nationwide coverage.

All business banks are capable of loaning any amount of money if you have security.

If you can guarantee the amount you need it could well be viable to them.

If you had the guarantee though you could put your own money in instead.

Without a guarantee though the only options are leasing - which will still require some form of guarantee or strong ability to pay, not just by financial projections but through your industry experience, management team credentials etc etc.. as I would expect a £2m machine leased over 5 years to be costing around £35,000 a month.

Or investment - but you don't want to sell part of your company.

And that's why people aren't taking you on - sorry to be blunt, I mean it with the best intentions. If you manage to find a solution not given so far or even 1 that has been given you will have done exceptionally well. It's a huge amount of money and risk.

Adpod was the username I used when I joined many months ago, I was part of a radio station with the same name, now I am no longer apart of the station. Any other personal questions you would like to know?

Well I'm still living in the pink fluffy world where I believe the OP.

So if I believe the OP and he's taken £400k from web sales then there's really no need for secrecy.

I'm not going to even comtemplate the other alternative. Mind you judging by the latest influx of members here maybe I should.

How are some of you guys in business when you cant evn read or understand this thread, the reason im not telling anyone what the service is, is because no one in the UK do it and I want to be the first to get in and capitalise before others try it.

Yet you've given it sufficient public exposure to generate half a million pounds worth of orders? Perhaps you could just lead us to your website/ads, which obviously won't give the game away?

I notice that your other threads follow a similar trend of giving big promises with very evasive answers to questions.

Many years of experience in this business have taught me some basic truths, the relevant one in this case being that if someone has good information to give, they will give you good information. If they just want to talk they will generally be time wasters.

I see on average a business plan every week ( a fraction of what a VC would see), by nature they are optimistic; sometimes they are wild, yet I have never seen a claim this outrageous.

If you are remotely seriouis about this, the only advice I will give is beware, as you will be a magnet for sharks who will take your money on the back of your dreams.

It's also worth noting that when someone becomes evasive and rude when asked focussed questions, it does water down the credibility of the original post.

Slagging off people asking the questions and calling into question their ability to run a business tends to paint a less than glowing picture.

There are people contributing to this thread who already do turn over millions of pounds per year so assuming they are numpties isn't going to get you the best kind of advice.

Like I have already said, I advertised in my local area reaching only 45,000 people from these people I have got £400k in orders I don't want to announce what it is before I have market control in the uk!

Is that not even simple to understand?

Maybe that's because people are straying from my original question by asking more about the business when I have already stated I am not here to discuss it I only wanted people who run finance companies to contact me privately.

Also I have start many successful companies and many successful companies which I gave sold on and many other companies which haven't been successful so I do not need any business advice. Thank you

Apparently so.

I haven't the vaguest idea how youy can raise £2 million and control the market without anyone knowing what you do. (except for 45,000 people and anyone who stumbles across your website, of course).

In fact, you could make your millions just selling that business secret - no need for capital investment.
