In the old days, my company was one of the biggest exporters of consumer goods from Turkey, but we shipped Izmir - Holland had goods cleared and then transhipped to Felixstowe. This was primarily to avoid duty issues (not paying, but potential anti dumping) in the UK (long story!).
Depending on the products, sea shipment is OK, but road might be quicker.
BTW, I have used Woodland and they did a great job - NOTE: there are several other experts/companies on the forum who probably do an equally great job!
