Free waste collection

Just a little survey,I'm tinkering on the idea of starting up a free cardboard,paper,plastic collection business. Do any fellow posters use a service like this in their business and if so how is it working out? Would any business out their consider using this service eliminating their current waste collection costs? Any views and points would be helpful.

We have a local farmer who collects our cardboard/paper and the polythene, we have to separate the paper based stuff from the polythene and remove any non recyclable packaging which is a bit of an hassle but on the whole the system works fine.

Its free to us, we just ring him when we have enough to warrant him collecting. This saves us a small fortune in waste collection not to mention the planet but the last time I saw him he mentioned the recycle rates had dropped and he maybe packing it in.

Our previous collecting company used to charge us £7.50 per collection which was acceptable but they stopped coming to our area.
