Hi,

My first FCL import is ready to be loaded from factory tomorrow. I have instructed the FF who has has coordinated the container to be sent to supplier for loading tomorrow as I have and FOB arrangement.

This is the first time I've imported so I want to be on top of everything and be proactive. Hence I have some questions:

1. What sort of info should my FF be providing me leading up to the loading tomorrow and then leading up to the container finally leaving the sea port towards U.K. He has already advised me of the shipping line, ETS and ETA date. But that's it.

2. What should the supplier be providing me?

3. Also, what do I need to line up in terms of paper work to ensure the container leaves as per plan for the UK?

4. What so I need to line up once the container gets to the UK?

I already have EORI and VAT number. My FF is managing the delivery to my address.

Would be good if someone experienced in this could help me list some points/actions please for the above.

Thanks in advance.

Do not worry, everything will be fine, as I see you are well prepared.

Supplier shall provide you packing list, commercial invoice, you can forward to your FF along with bill of lading. Then, FF will handle customs clearance at destination port, and transport the products to your premises.

I hope all the products are palletized so you can easily unload them with a forklift; if not, you have to hire some labors to manually unload the products, which usually will be a little hassle, but not big deal if you're prepared for it.
