Maybe they've not phoned back as they've just seen his last loft conversion.

A tried and proven method of getting someone to call you back is to leave a deliberately interrupted message:

"Hi. This is Keith. I just wanted to let you know that..." Click.
"Hello. I just heard from your neighbour that..." Click.
"You are on my mind today because..." Click.
"Met with a friend this evening and he mentioned that you..." Click.

Just spoke to the client again and.............................

Still waiting!!! Calling me on Thursday.

I think that's a good sign mate, lets be real for a second 40k to anyone except the bechams is a lot of money, so its not something people would enter in to lightly, so the very fact that he's still calling back is a good sign, its also a sign hes willing to pay and wont bump you, otherwise he would have just said go ahead.

I've run out of things to use to have a go at you K, so instead, you're a big fat poofy woofy.

So that would make you an unimaginative coffee drinking poof!!!

:p

Yes they have said the work is mine, but they are have two holidays coming up and a financial thingy maturing in August, so are thinking of putting the work off until then. But I want the work now!! So have dropped my price.

This isn't a particularly new game to me, one of our current builds is a large extension with a loft conversion for £80k, took 'em two years after having a quote, to decide to go for it!!

Ya!!!!

Here we go, game on!!

Seeing them tomorrow to collect a deposit.

Tis good news, since this credit crunch thingy started we have been undercut on building extensions by all the fellas, coming off the big commercial sites, bricklayers, chippies, etc. But them boys can't do loft conversions, they don't know how, so we is now moving into the loft conversion game, big styley!!!!!

That gives me 3 lofts on the go now, two more confirmed to start and another 3 under discussion.
