Everyone has a favourite quote and I absolutely love them, the more inspirational the better.

My fav is 'When the one Great Scorer comes to strike by your name, he judges not whether you won or lost, but how you played the game.'

Cornwall has its own bard: John Harris. Unfortunately, none of this nineteenth century miner's books are in print; you have to visit the library in Redruth to read them. Once I am making money, I plan to finance someone to publish all his work.

My favourite quote comes from one of Harris's poems:

"Gain a higher footing; breathe a purer air."

indeed this is true, i was broken hearted wen my gran passed away. She never allowed anyone to call her nan though, this is a nanny goat lol

My Gran had a quote for everything. If you told her you couldn't do something, she'd be straight there with an answer, to prove you could.

I think that's why I never give up at things now, i'm scared my Gran will nag my ear off :lol:
