Using Facebook to find people with interest in your products is an excellent start. You might not get much profit back in this stage as of yet, but it will help you find the
mold or
identity of your target market.
Since your goal is to sell items in your web shop,
then your items must have a common niche. Are they cute? Do they appeal as antiques? When people see them, what will they love about its aesthetics and character?
These two factors play a huge role
to make sure your web shop products fit with your chosen/identified audiences' demands.
To help you start, here are a few steps I took by myself when I started my own brand as well:
- Create your Facebook Business Page: Yup, create a page. Maybe you can create a group later on, but a Page gives you several options I'll explain later.
- Link your Facebook Page to your Website: You can add it when you customize your new Page's profile.
- Create Advertisements: You can setup your advert payment options. However, there are a few things to know before you start doing this.
Before you create your ads, make sure you know the following:
- Target Audience: Study your competitor's audience (if you plan to take a slice.) This is the fastest and cheapest way to do it.
- Common Themes/Characteristics about your product: Like I mentioned earlier, why will they sell? Why would you buy them?
- Unique Selling Proposition: Do you do 24-hour deliveries? Can the products last 100 years? Do you have products nobody else sells?

Your Facebook Page adverts must reflect these particular items to become appealing to your users. In addition, you must know what makes
advertisements and Facebook posts appealing to click.
Lastly, make sure your web shop's shopping experience is especially smooth. Make sure every aspect of user experience from finding the products they want to checking out is smooth. A returning customer can advocate about their site experience to friends, and that is more powerful than any social media marketing.
As for promoting more likes and shares, you can opt to do the following:
- Post brand-related content: Start a blog on your website and share the content to your audience. Talk about how one particular web shop product is useful in a customer's everyday life. If you can create videos about it, you'll get better reception because people respond to product videos better than text content.
- Interact with your audience: Talk to them in the comments section. Like their posts. If your brand personality allows you to be humorous or crack jokes, do it too. People love a personable brand with a human side rather than a static multinational one.
- Always respond to messages: People want a trustworthy Page that delivers. Facebook also activates your Message Badge (it lights up) indicating you are a responsive company. That helps your brand improve.
I hope I helped you get an idea how to make sure your FB campaigns give you lots of ROI in return for all your efforts
PS: Sorry, since I have a noob account, I can't post resource links to help you know more about stuff. I'll update this response once I reach 30 posts.
