Hi there,
around 7-8 months ago I purchased a car from Car store a long with the £600 extended warranty.
Not long after receiving the car I noticed the car was juddering under braking. Upon phoning them as I use the car for business I was told i'de have a courtesy and they booked me a date to go in. I turned up and they didn't have a courtesy car. They resheduled me in and surprise surprise, no courtesy cars available (previous users hadn't taken there's back).
I left the car with them and they couldn't find any issues with it but had to charge me £90. I said "Can you put something on my record incase it gets worse so i'm not paying another £90 diagnostics fee". They said they cannot do that as they can't find an issue and it's been thoroughly checked over. The juddering seems to be getting worse and a few mechanic friends seem to think it sounds like a warped rotor. I know usually these warranties don't cover brakes, pads, tires (perishable items).
Not sure if this is a trading standards issue/something they need to be aware off?
Absolute pain of a company, very pushy with extended warranties etc.
