Employer is bringing a small claim?

I took my ex-employer to an employment tribunal and was awarded around £1,000. My ex employer, has gone into a complete narcissistic rage, and has now made numerous brand new allegations against me to the police, including, amusingly, that me sending a request for payment, was criminal harassment.

The company did not pay, I have now enforced the debt and had that amount plus costs arrested from hid biggest client, (third party debt order - it doesn't have to go to their bank, so they cannot move money to avoid paying, and it's bad PR if your biggest customer gets embroiled on such a case) he will also be fined a further 50% by BEIS in the next day or so, and these funds should be released to me by christmas.

Next he tried to lodge an appeal, but it was out of time, and based on nothing.

So next he is asking for an extension of time...

He is first arguing the fact that he would like to appeal, in itself means the judgement immediately becomes invalid, and so i am acting illegally be even chasing the debt, let alone applying for a third party debt order, which is nonsense....

Now I've received a small claims action for the same amount as the initial Employment Tribunal award, He seems to be claiming, that despite the ruling (well he conveniently omitted all details of an employment tribunal in his paperwork) I actually owe him money. This is despite still trying to pursue an employment tribunal appeal, clearly the case cannot win, but is there anything I can do to not have to go through YET ANOTHER court hearing?

Have your tried calling ACAS and asking for advice if information on this is not available on the employment tribunal website.

Any way to get it dismissed on the basis that it is clearly a vexatious lawsuit brought for the purpose of delaying and harassing?
