Hi

I am currently selling new low value items on ebay.

each Item weigh between : 5g - 1kg | 2kg -5kg

What would be the cheapest possible way of sending items on ebay, courier or royal mail or any other postal/delivery service?

Thanks

Try parcelhub they are very good, parcel2go as well - have discount codes on a regular just make a new account change email.Any of these bigger companies will use their client postage accounts to get you discounted rates rather than going to the big boys like royal mail yourself who will expect a large volume before giving good affordable rates pal

Thanks for your reply,

I've tried different comparison sites, at the moment the cheapest prices for shipping parcels i've found are myhermes:

My hermes charges:

0-2 kg - £2.75

2-5 kg - £5.95

my hermes is what i currently use. Is there an alternative cheaper method of shipping/posting ?

As for items that are extremely low priced - priced at £1.99, what would be a cheaper option for those items that are considered as a packet or small parcel that weigh from 30g - 1kg. What would be the cheapest way of posting/sending those item out ?

Thanks
Cameron

they always dont cover you for damage or loss in transit..think about that

Hermes probably get more damaged and lost parcels but for compensation they're actually the best. They're the only courier I've used that cover the selling price+postage whereas most will just cover your cost price + postage.

If it's large letter size then Royal Mail is your best bet, if it's parcel size then Hermes are going to be the cheapest. You might save a small bit using one of the parcel brokers rather than going to Hermes themselves but this is a small percentage.

Here is prices they're due to have an increase though with the 2D label delivery confirmation being rolled out to everyone soon.

If you're happy with royal mail prices then use Royal Mail "click and drop" as you're an ebay seller. It imports the orders from eBay so no manual entry of addresses. Then you can pay for all parcels at the same time, and it'll upload tracking numbers to the orders on eBay or mark them as dispatched if no tracking number. "Click and Drop" saves us a lot time. You then drop them off at a depot or post office.
