Yeah but can you reach the customers though? i don't mind paying £1 for every £10 item i sell in fees, i may even pay more than that depending on the mark-up, but from the items i've put on there Ebay is not even getting the flow of customers it used to, it's getting specialist ebayers who are looking for particular items.
When i list on ebay i generally get 3/4 hits in 2 weeks :| thats less than i get every day on my website, so i'm not even getting the foot fall on there now.
People use ebay for bargains or antiques. If you have a 500 year old grandfather clock on auction you'll make a mint, if you have a brand new computer system, boxed, sold in your shop too, you won't make a penny because they can buy that from PC World or Dell, why would they buy from an ebay site? unless you've been trading 10 years and your prices are much lower than the high street?
