DSR & customised products

I have a query for a friend. They purchased a product from a well known company. They had it customised and got the wrong size.

The product is pretty expensive and purchased as a surprise birthday present.

I was wondering if the DSRs allowed for gifts/mistakes or not?

If they ordered the wrong size then they cant make a claim to the supplier.

If the supplier provided the wrong size in error, they should replace.
