I earn about £200/month from two sites, nether that busy but both are information sites that rank well for a whole range of things.

in 2018 i personally would not advice anyone to go the adsense way. For a lot of reasons i think its a bad idea but i will just name a few.
    1. The pay is not that much. in some cases you would need a tens of thousands just to make some meager amount.
    2. You don't own it. google can decide to kick you out anytime if they suspect you of going against any of their terms and when they do what ever you had earned in the previous month's work will not be giving to you.
    3. Same work can earn you a lot else where.
If you are able to drive about 10,000 visitors to your site, you can monetize it in a different way. Drop shipping, offer a service, affiliate marketing these are just a few ways you can make money that in my opinion make adsense not all that worth while. Just my two cents

My personal blog, gets about 20K visitors a month, and I post mostly tutorials, techy topics and various other experimental topics, I try out before refining to post elsewhere.

I earn between £60 - £100 per month from Adsense. I also have a couple of affiliate schemes and amazon affiliates on there, which also bring some money.

I basically use it as an experimental playground to see how people respond to ads , testing which strategies work best etc. Testing out which placement areas work best

It's great to get an understanding of how it works

Do you use text ads or image ads?
    I just use text.

These are sites that I haven't touched in years. There are all info sites that rank well for a range of phrases. I don't have any plans to make any changes to the sites or monetize them any more than I have already. I earn enough to fully fund a dedicated server which is all I need them to do.

I used to use adsense on my forums and on average used to take £700-800 a month it would peak at christmas time and the most I ever received was £1700 one month... It has now died a death mainly due to users moving to facebook groups, I'm now down to around £200-280 a month..

Excuse my innocence but how does adsense work in simple terms, there own explanation is not that easy to fully understand
Good luck! Google logic in structuring services is not logical, their video tutorials are garbage, their written guides are obfuscatory and their email support is cut and paste from the guides without reading your email (after you wait 3 days for the reply)

    It's really really simple.

You sign up for the service, select the type of adverts you want to display, add some filters and copy the supplied code onto your website. Visitors to your website will now see the adverts alongside your content. If they click on the advert you get money.
