do these website that claim they will submit your website to all the search engines actually work or is it just a scam
is just a ploy to get you toi upgrade to their:We will submit you to 40 engines free
Get submitted to 4000 engines - Only £70
I would like to say if its FREE then do it.
With respect, this is just not true. It is absolutely NOT important.yes its works| free search engine submission are actually works and this is very important for a websites its not worthless.
Hardly any other search engine will send you any traffic
What everyone is forgetting is DMOZ is a directory. Submitting to it is a positive step.
I agree that DMOZ is important but actually I think you may be missing the point. The thread is not about directory submission. It is about search engine submission.I think you all are missing the point.
You mean cash and staff resources like M$ has? Why can't they beat Google? All it takes is some cash and a great idea and Google can be beaten.
DMOZ is not a search engine.Forget dmoz, there's far superior engines out there

estimate of microsofts net value is upwards of 97 billion dollars

ITS FREE.
Google is looking at directories for its updates at present (hence the big balls up with maps).
What everyone is forgetting is DMOZ is a directory. Submitting to it is a positive step. (some of you newbies will think otherwise). Its free to submit to and when you do get listed you will find a positive effect to your ranking.
It is not the be all or end all for your website listings but to ignore its potential is idiotic.
If in the future google decides to change its algo to introduce directories as a must, how stupid would you feel that you didnt spend 20 mins doing it FOR FREE.
If you think it a waste of time dont do it yourself. But please dont advise others not to.

Ali, you did not even make out what this thread is about
Check it our buddy, its about "search engine" submissions not "directory submissions"
