Hi there. I have received some communication from a previous customer stating that the work we did has an issue with a leak. We have been back twice and sorted two issues since we did the work and now there is another leak.
Up until December 2020 , she was happily emailing or calling, ( 3 times since March 2019 and each time we attended) suddenly she isn't and has copied and pasted loads of things from CAB or DAS law website onto a letter and sent to me in the post.
She is requesting a full refund for the work carried which consisted of creating a roof from individual materials. She has had a builder out recently, who questioned our work to her, I subsequently sent someone over to take a look and prove that the builder was in fact talking rubbish.
I suspect she is being led down this path by this builder ( in the hope he gets the work) and is now sending me letters and not emailing or ringing me. I sent her a letter back stating my concerns and that the only course of action i'll be taking is to source and repair the leak.
She has sent another letter, not acknowledging my reply, with another demand for a refund.
I'm pretty sure I should be given the option to sort out ( she wouldn't get a refund anyway!) from a legal/ civil viewpoint prior to all this Copy and Paste rubbish she's sending.
The roof ( as any roof is i'd have thought) is a bespoke product made from individual components and at this point, any of those components could be faulty and i'm sure I should be given the the courtesy of eliminating and faulty issues? I have no problem with the customer, nor have I ever had a problem with her- our communication has always been polite and cordial.
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Steve
