we are a small to medium size business that runs an operated plant and machinery business. We have a fleet of machines which are all under 3 years old and have all the paperwork, certification and insurances to cover all works within the construction industry which require machinery.

We currently do works for a lot of private individuals and a small amount of contractors. We find that due to a lot of of work being private the duration of the hires is limited to small time periods. We are trying to expand to slightly larger companies/contractors which take on larger works packages which would mean longer hires and longer periods of secure work. I have done a number of emails to these companies with very little if any replies I was just looking to see if anyone had a methods they have used that seem to have better luck or responses.
Any tips/pointers appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

One thing I have learned in making sales is to be persistent.

Very rarely will you get a response to a sales email if they haven't heard from you or built up some sort of relationship with them. Try your damnedest to get them on the phone and ask them if they got your email, take them out for a coffee or some lunch!
