Creating an online Competition, some questions

I'm just enquiring if I were to set-up an online competition what would I need to consider? Of course I would need a way to accept payment from those participating in the competition, what would you advise as the best method. And what would be the legalities I would need to keep in mind. Are there any licences I would be required to buy in order to run a competition?

Well just so happens i have been running a few myself what are you offering? What Third Parties Are Involved?
There should be no problem with it at all, just specify your requirements and the prize plus closing date and then list them on these sites for the most exposure

it depends on how the competition is run any skill involved? or lucky dip (lottery) also the value of prizes needs to be considered.

I was thinking spot the ball competition. The prize would be a Console PS3.

if it involves skill Ie spot the ball or answering questions you dont need a license...for detailed info visit culture.gov.uk they have a gambling section.

sorry to jump on this but Ive been interested in doing this for a wee while as well, could you charge them to answer the question or spot the ball?

I wanted to do like a raffle site but I would need a license as its not a skill
