Contact lists to purchase?

Hello,

We are looking for somewhere to purchase contact details (Name / Email / Telephone Num etc)

Ideally we would like to purchase details from car insurance companies due to the nature of our business being involved in the Automotive world.

Can anyone advise where to start?

Google it. There are loads of companies providing targeted lists. The quality if the list is proportional to the price you pay.

@HazelC I've used experian and datahq but they were for very specialised projects. Google for the type of list you want and keep filtering, avoid those who offer fixed prices as they tend to be a bit hit and miss quality

You are right and anyone that fancy's a chat with me (I don't bite, and am a real person who is actually quite knowledgeable about b2b data and proud of it.) can hear all about our UK call centre and how we verify our data. You can even visit if you like. With regards to volume, 500k records will cost you more than 100.

The OP wanted b2c not b2b.

500K records isn't viable - I don't believe you have verified that every single record within the last 4 weeks. If I buy a list I expect it to be targeted. Very few targeted lists will be anywhere near 500K. Even if they were the dataset is far to large to be of use to a small business.

Give the lady a chance, not all people need the same as you, and whilst its fair to comment on what you advise, its not fair to just blag someone for offering a service. Its up to the op to select who she wants to deal with.
Give advice to the op to help her make up her mind, maybe just maybe she needs to contact a very large number of addresses as expecting a low responce but a wider knowledge of her brand for the future

I can recommend Experian from client experience. They are not the cheapest - but most campaigns live or die by the quality of the data. Filtering the data before you purchase, and making sure you are hitting your exact targets can save you a lot of time and money. Remember that there is an individual at the receiving end (Lots of people seem to see data as no.s), and this is a chance to start a rewarding relationship for both of you! Hope it works out...
