Hi,
Could someone help me with this situation, please? I gave 12 months' advanced notice (a few emails and verbally) to the landlord's agent to activate my 5th-year break clause. At the same time, A James was going to take over the lease once I leave and was in discussion with the agent. A lot of communications and me chasing the agents for over 6 Months. The result was the agent and James failed to agree. During this time, no invoice for rent was sent to me and 3 weeks before my break clause was to end, a new agent told me it's been invalidated because I have not paid the final quarter of rent plus 3 years of insurance premium. I did receive any of these invoices. Do I have a chance if this goes to court because we can't seem to find a compromise at the moment? I have an exemplary record in rent payments, no CCJ, and excellent credit ratings.
Thank you. My name is Po
