Phone and ask "Could you help me please, who deals with X"
Passing the secretary simply ask "Mr _____" please.

Arranging an appointment in my current role was as simple as speaking on the phone how we can save them money on their PPE and work wear and is such and such a date suitable for me to come by and drop off a catalogue and ask a few questions about their business.
Almost all said yes....

The script that i have prepared is as follow, i would like your opinion
I was wondering if you could help me out please. I would like to speak to Mr ….. if he is available.

THEN

My name is ....... and I run (company) operations in the UK. (Company) is an upholstery fabric manufacturing company, our production factories are based in Egypt and Turkey.

(Company) is launching a new platform and expanding its operations to the UK, therefore, I thought that connecting with your company will benefit both our businesses.
The reason I’m calling is that we would like to pay you a visit and show you some of our fabric collection if would you be interested.

would you be available to schedule a meeting ?

It's quite long winded and not to the point. What benefit is it to the customer?

Use "so what" in your script (this is what the customer will be thinking and helps you when writing)
Your factories are based in Egypt and Turkey (so what?)
Your launching a new platform (so what)
Your expanding your business to the UK (so what)
You thought you would like to connect with my company so we benefit (so what)

You get the idea? Its all based on you. Make it about them......
