Cheap shop fitters in lancashire?

Just wondering if anyone knew of a good shop fitting company that doesn't charge the earth in Lancashire?!

Hi will be wanting glass cabinets for a jewellers fitting to walls with lighting and they will will have wood surrounds so they look like built in cabinets. Thanks for your reply!

Ex Finance Director of a leading Construction / Fit-out company here .....

strong advice ..... don't go for cheap ...... it's the worst financial decision you'll ever make for fit-out.

things are cheap for a reason - so ... if you drive a Robin Reliant, live in a tent and buy your burgers from Netto .... by all means go 'cheap'.
If not ... question the reasons why you don't drive/live/buy there !

I don't think you will be able to find a "cheap" shop fitter when it comes to jewellery cabinets ! I had my shop fitted (jewellery and gifts) back in May and I searched a lot to find good prices but I could not really find something "cheap". The cabinet on the right cost me £1880.00 + £300 (for delivery and fitting of the 2 cabinets) + VAT

I find that the only way to have cheaper cabinets was to buy already made ones (for example http://www.selquin.com/EN/default.aspx ) but you will have to install them yourself (and you need a couple of very very strong men to unload them because they don't do that).

I can recommend a good shop fitters in Manchester but they aren't cheap.

Where about's in Lancashire are you, as I have other connections in the North West & Yorkshire areas.

Just a thought, but would it be possible for you to look at a good shop fitter that uses reconditioned shop fittings? That way you would get the expertise of a good workman, whilst the cost effectiveness of second hand goods.

I haven't looked at shop fitting so I could be talking out of my rectum and if I am I apologise.

Thank **** for posts like these I was loosing the will to live... However I think I can beat KM analogy OK only by one word but hey.

If you want to cut costs then speak to someone with a brain who can come up with some interesting alternatives to the traditional way of doing things. There are a million ways of skinning a cat some less painful than others.

For really good display cabinets I can recommend Rockingham Display shop they sell all kinds of great display cabinets - for any kind of display.

They sell fantastic display cabinets, and they are so knowledgeable about point of purchase you're bound to learn something.

I have been closeley related to the shopfitting industry and one thing I must stress is its always better to invest that little bit extra than work on a cheap budget overall work done on cheap budget will always require revisits and these costs do build up.

Display Cabinets... You should definitely go down the Good route rather than the cheap route because you will want your shop to look its best for a long time, and there is nothing worse than a cheap and nasty display cabinet. In fact, a good looking display cabinet will sell your product for you, so really do pay for themselves in the long run.
