    CHANNEL 4 SEARCHING FOR BUDDING ENTREPENEURS!
    The acclaimed documentary series ‘Risking It All’ is back for a second series.
    Channel 4 is looking for new businesses to feature.

    The last series achieved viewer ratings of over 3 million and all the businesses involved went on to bigger and better things. If you would like this chance for your business then contact the ‘Risking It All’ team.

    You must be setting up a business which is due to open before July 2005.
    You must be going in with a business partner – friends or family.
    You should have never run a business before.
    You should be ‘risking it all’ to become your own boss.

    After chatting with these folks, and to save some time, these are the criteria they are really looking for;

    • There must be more than one person involved in the running of the business – friends or family members.

      The entrepreneurs should have no previous experience in the type of business they are opening. They should have never run any business themselves before. (For example, one of our stories is 2 ex-marketing managers setting up a juice bar)

      ]The business should be based in premises (not internet companies or ‘bedroom’ businesses). It is not restricted to retail outlets however. Outdoor pursuits, child-related, entertainment, design, construction, health-related – we’re open to ideas!

      The initial investment in the business must be substantial – ideally over £40,000. They will be in a make-or-break financial position – all their savings have gone in and they have probably borrowed money.

      The business must be in the pre-launch phase when we join the story. (If we use the juice bar example, they are currently fitting out new premises, deciding the menu, implementing marketing strategies and preparing for a grand opening next month.)

      The business should be due to open in April, May or June.
