Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody has a similar experience and can shed more light on this issue.
We have been exporting products wordwide for a number of years and since brexit we have found that we can no longer ship many products to the EU.
For example, we ship wooden cutlery to the EU. The commodity code is 44191900. Our courier has always been DPD and they now advise us:
We have had to update our list of restricted/prohibited goods recently and the only code we accept with code 44 is 4408. 4408 is the only exception in this category of goods.
DPD can longer carry certain goods post-Brexit due to particular customs checks and procedures. This goods required customs checks at the border which we cannot facilitate on our shipments unfortunately.
Does Anybody else have a similar experience or information exactly why this is? We have had goods held at customs for many weeks while we try to figure out whats happening and eventually this is the only answer we get with no further explanation available?
