its a new strike force thats getting better and better.
we have battered teams this year at times without scoring.i see that changing next season.carroll is getting better henderson will come good suarez is also getting better. think we need another wide man with pace. plenty of chances were made conversion rate will be better next season im sure of it.

A valuable point was made when City's last game was on TV. So many 'professional' footballers get the strop because he takes them off (a lot of the time for De Jong), even when they're losing. Why bring on a DM for an attacking player? Because Yaya Toure pushes up just behind the striker and either gets goals like he did against Newcastle, or he creates them.
What I don't agree with is the fact he went out and bought tons of players willy nilly, got rid of a load of players and expects it to fall together perfectly. He has basically bought a player from here, bought another from there and all of a sudden they're expected to win trophies.
I don't agree with what City have done, there should have been a fairplay transfer rule years ago to stop teams getting bought out and doing this.
I don't support anyone either before I get accused to being a United fan!

This is the worst Liverpool team I have ever seen. All but one of Dalglish's very expensive signings have been awful. Carroll's insane pricetag aside, Downing and Henderson aren't worth half of what Dalglish paid for them and as for Charlie Adam... words fail me. And then you have people like Spearing in your team. Dear oh dear.
You'll be needing a bit more than a quick wide player in the summer.

to compare carrol with heskey shows your lack of football knowledge. i dont think anyone with any knowledge of football and the technical side of things would compare the two as remotely equals.carrol at this time is a far better player and will get better.heskey is not the player he was.

carrol is not messi class nor is he the hesky of today class.i have no idea why someone who has watched much football would compare carrol to either of those players.
if you want to compare carrol to heskey when heskey was young then i see no reason why you shouldnt ,then yeah thats fine.heskey played well and also played well for england.hes done well in his career and im sure if carrol does as much or better,then im sure he would consider his time as a player a good job done

i didnt see many reserves in there side the other day.there were noticeable absences in the liverpool side also but i wouldnt call the players that did play reserves.
the last 15 years many teams have taken a point of us at our place or the odd shock win.its been an issue for a few years as we do well against the "bigger" sides.
losing 2 or 3 games more than 3rd place arsenal is hardly lightyears away.
we have drawn games we dominated and thats been our problem.

Yes, Chelsea reserves.
No Lampard, Cole, Cech, Mata, Drogba and plenty of others besides. They gave you three goals. One own goal, Terry slipped and let Henderson through for another and then the RESERVE keeper screwed up and left Shelvey an open goal for yet another. They rested their best players with one eye on the Champions League final and you know it. They were absolutely awful on the night.
Be realistic, your squad is utter tripe and barely any of those players are worthy of a Liverpool shirt. It says it all when a past it and injury prone Gerrard is still the best player in your squad by a country mile. Spearing, Shelvey, Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Adam, Bellamy and plenty of others are nowhere near good enough to be in a Liverpool team or any team looking for a top four finish.

You've scraped a couple of decent results here and there throughout a whole season. Using your logic, Wigan are a magnificent table topping side because they have beaten Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool etc in the past few weeks. The fact is, they are a poor side who have done just enough when it mattered to get out of trouble.
It's about what you do over a whole season. You'll find that pretty much every single team in the premier league can point to a few good results here and there. Blackburn won at Old Trafford this season, but they've just been relegated.
You've had your worst league season in decades and are finishing in mid table barely ahead of the likes of Fulham and West Brom who have both beaten you.
If you think this Liverpool squad is good enough to be top four you are deluded.

my logic is that liverpool are not light years away from the teams that you mentioned and i have proved this to be the case.
2 finals and one trophy regardless of what some think of it.
the europa league trophy is massive to many countries in europe and so it should be just as the league cup here is a big trophy as there are so few trophies to win. any player wants finals.the season as a whole in the league was not great in terms of results but the season as a whole including cups and such show it has not been our worst season in the period you speak of.
city have lost to some low teams this season so has man u.but it happens its a hard league

You don't assess how good a team is by 3 or 4 results out of a whole season. Liverpool are like every other team in the league in so much as they have had a small handful of decent results. So have Wigan, West Brom, Norwich, Sunderland, Fulham, Swansea etc etc etc. Almost every team in the premier league will have either beaten or taken a point from better teams they weren't expected to beat.
As I said, Blackburn beat Man Utd at Old Trafford. According to your logic that apparently makes them on a par with Man Utd or not too far behind them.
Sure, Liverpool have had 4 or 5 decent results this season, but they've had about 20 terrible ones as well and that's why they are languishing in mid table obscurity. You can't put a run together because your manager and squad aren't up to the job. Liverpool have had 6 home wins in the league all season... 6!!! This is Anfield and Liverpool we are talking about here and by Liverpool's standards that is absolutely laughable.
Seriously, how many Liverpool players do you think would get into the teams of Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs? One or two at best probably.
Getting to the FA cup final is an achievement, but winning the Carling Cup counts for pretty much nothing. It shows how far Liverpool have nosedived when a Liverpool fan is excited about winning a Mickey Mouse trophy that the big clubs use an opportunity to play their reserve team and kids.

when liverpool won lots of cups we still got excited about the league cup.it has never been a mickey mouse cup.if certain teams want to undermine that cup because they feel its beneath them thats there choice and there players loss.there are only ever 3cups to win unless your in europe. we won 1 got to the final of another got into europe and will finish 7th or 8th.you have said its our worse season in decades when it certainly isnt.
a team with an average age of 24 at times it has been younger than that.in kennys first FULL season.its not the worst return in the world of football.we may not be in the champions league or won the premiership but we are doing a lot better than most teams.only us and man u have won the champions league . the only cups we havent won ina while is the prem and not many have won that one and euro league.so i dont see what your harping on about

If my team's manager spent £35 million on Andy Carroll I'd be absolutely furious! If Downing was any good one of the big boys would have snapped him up years ago and I can't believe that Dalglish thinks Charlie Adam is good enough to play for a club like Liverpool. He's lost the plot.
Dalglish is starting to sound like Steve Kean with his excuses. All this "We've been unlucky" etc. He seems to be confusing "unlucky" with "cr@p."
Still, if you're happy with Dalglish doing worse in his first full season than pretty much any other Liverpool manager in recent years despite spending a fortune, I wish you all the luck in the world because you're going to need it.

as you say we are liverpool but we are liverpool that have not won the prem .so
when you havent won the prem in a long time then one has to take what ever comes next.next means the fa cup,the league cup,any european cup that we maybe in also.but every team tries to win the prem regardless.
the team have not gone backwards as we have a trophy and european football,we did well against our rivals as in the top 6.did the treble over everton .its not champions league but maybe we can improve next season.
the season has been at times frustrating,but on the whole there have been many more ups than downs.in life and biz niz that is what matters.it matters in football also as a fan.
i would rather lose 1-0 to west brom than to lose 1-0 to everton
as ive said the team have done well against big clubs on many occasions so its not beynd them to take it that step further and kill off the "smaller" teams when we dominate. im sure new blood will come in.shelvey is 19 henderson 21 carrol 23 kelly 21 lucas 24 suarez 24 theres lots of quality that will only get better
