Business YouTube channel?

Hi guys

New here but not to the business world.

I have experimented with about 30 different business ideas in the past. Maybe some money with some and lost money with others.

I have decided to create a YouTube channel around start ups and turning an idea from a thought to an actual business documenting all the wins and losses and things that happen that I never thought about.

2 questions tho…

Is this something people would like to watch? And is there any wonderful and wacky business ideas that you would like to see someone with no idea attempt to launch?

Focus on those who've failed in business, who've learnt by their mistakes or lost everything.

Like a chap I once bought a Guinea Pig from. He built a main Pen about 20ft square, a drainpipe tunnel linked to another of a similar size holding over a hundred more of the critters. He couldn't catch the one's people wanted without trampling the stock.

Biggest issue is how will anyone know about you. Its as much about marketing your channel so people know its there as it about having content they want to watch!

The problem with Youtube is that the success of your channel is dependent of the algorithm. Youtube could bring you a lot of traffic, or it might not. Do people search for what you want to make? Is it likely to show up as related?

The extra audience is what Youtube gives you that using Vimeo or Cloudflare video hosting or just sticking a video on your own website does not or a podcast feed does not.

The other problem is that anything on someone else's platform is a hostage to fortune. How will it change in the future?

All that said, there is a potential audience.

Which ones made you money and which ones failed. Go on tell us, we will not steal the business ideas that worked - honestly.

The interesting parts would probably be the things people normally leave out. How much the idea actually cost, where the first customer came from, what went wrong and whether you’d still do it again. Even a failed idea could make a good episode if you’re honest about why it failed.
