Hello, i recently registered my business with the Company House, and for the address i gave the one from the premises i should rent it this week with the landlord permission. He initially agreed to do the lease contract in the company name, one year contract, 6 months pay upfront, no deposit and the second part of the year another 6 months pay upfront.
Now the landlord is asking for my personal details and address and wants one months deposit.
Do I have to give him my personal address???

Thank you! Yes, I will look for a solicitor, but I don't know what to tell the landlord regarding my personal address.

You will probably need to give personal details for KYC purposes

However it's likely that they will also want a PG.

Ultimately, they are entitled to ask and you are entitled to decline - in which case they may well decline to offer you a lease

Any landlord worth his salt is going to do a credit check, so yes he’s untitled to ask for this and of course your bank details. As mentioned above by Mark looks like you may well be walking into a PG (personal guarantee) so please get that legal advice the forum is littered with those who wished they had.

If you do get a solicitor to check the lease and other issues it’s unlikely you will be able to sign this week. Due diligence can’t be rushed and subsequent negotiations could take a couple of months.
