Hello,

I'm setting up a cafe which will seat about 30 people inside and 30 people outside and want a descent broadband and phone provider for wi-fi for the customers. I've already had problems with Talk Talk and terrible service. The prices of Virgin Media and BT are much more but I just want to make sure they're worth the money.

Thank you in advance,

Nancy

Burtech is right, no matter who you go through you'll end up using their cables, nearly impossible to escape them :( i use a company called onestep, our account manager is Mike 07825180489, great guy who can talk you through things. They manage a lot of our lines and really helpful. If you really dont want to use the big guys you can try satalite/microwave connections..... but depends on where you are.

Something we are doing a lot of at the moment is social WiFi have you seen it? free wifi in favour of social media page like, its all automated then you can get in contact with your customers after for marketing. Loads of cafe/restaurants/clubs are starting to use them now. Silly cheap as well!

Hi Nancy,

Some free advice reference providing free wifi.

New laws are in place for the anti-terrorism act that when requested you need to provide specific details about who, when, where logged into your network. As you will become a WISP (Wireless ISP) you are bound by certain UK/EU rules.

My advice would be to use a specialist company that can advise you of the pitfalls and requirements to ensure you are not shutdown for failing to provide the required information if asked,

Not sure if i can post a link, but if you have any questions please ask and i will send you a link.
