GRRRRRRRRRR Why is it so hard to find products to sell on ebay? :)

I simply cannot find any wholesale goods that are not already being sold on ebay by many other sellers.

As a broke uni student I figured selling stuff on ebay through some of my student finance money would be a good idea...yet it looks like it wont be happening.

Any idea of how Uni students can make money???

Appreciated.

dont stress about finding a niche, not yet, if the other stuff is being sold on Ebay then at least you know there is a market for it, why don't you give it a go? try undercutting the competition? thats what business is, every high street is the same, the same shops, the same products, just different brands! you don't have to be totally unique to make money.

Well have you tried T-shirts? If not do it and find a good T-shirt designer(s) and don't forget your Uni students. Tell them that you are selling T-shirts.

Go into something you've already studied at uni don't go off and do something random unrelated. Get your own website and build ure way up like that if you like.

I was also advised this by somebody else.

They told me if I kept the overheads extremely low it was a sure fire way not to make losses.

If ebay floats your boat, then I suggest that you look up Andrew Lock. He is an very good marketer and ebay expert who provides lots of free training. I must admit I have never read/used his ebay training, however i do watch his marketing tv show each week. www.helpmybusiness.com

I have often heard many people complain about how difficult it is to break into the t-shirt business. Anybody wish to shed some light on this?

t shirt printing has gone like web design, lots of people can do it now, they can either buy them cheap from a print company or set up a mini-machine in the office and print off a few with a bit of practice.

also not many people seem to want independently made tshirts, they want off the peg designs so perhaps look at making a brand for yourself, a set of designs that are unique to your business or unique to world events.

there are still lots of options within the market, its just a case of positioning yourself at the right price, the right designs and having the flexibility in place.
