Business card query

Okay all, I need your help.

I am getting new business cards done and while I love the design, there is one bit that my wife and I disagree on, and that is the full stops in the sidebar on the back of the card. Do you think those full stops are fine or having them after one word makes them pointless?:

(Just to clarify the card design is actually landscape. However, this is just a small section of the card, this bar is, as it appears, on the right side of the back.)

I am wanting to get the cards as good as possible, and so even a little thing like this I want to see what as many people as possible think.

The difficulty is I don't want text (or punctuation) that doesn't reflect what we do. So, having lower case letters and no punctuation makes me wonder if people will think that's how their transcripts will be.

Although we can imagine what it looks like without them, I find the only way to actually tell what looks best is to actually see both.

Having said that in your line of work what is technically right from a punctuation point of view is probably more important than what looks best.

Aesthetically, I prefer it with the stops. But that based on nothing more than personal preference; there is no rational reason behind it.

Personally, I think it's neater without the full stops, but with them is grammatically correct, and from experience most clients are more concerned about how it will look to not have correct grammar or punctuation. I think more people could comment on their exclusion than their inclusion.

Also, it might look a little nicer if the full stops were square as opposed to rectangular.

The graphic is, of course, far bigger than the resulting cards will be, so the full stop will probably look "square" at business card size.

You could get both and ask the prospect "Do you prefer stops or not?"...

I'm doubtful I'd notice the difference...

From what most people have said, the full stops are staying.
