Best way to learn excel

Im 22 and learnt very basic excel at school

I have had to use basic spreadsheets for my job for the past two years but in order to progress I need to learn more excel

What is the best way to learn ? self teaching using books ? courses ?

Never had to learn a new skill like this before so a bit unsure what is the best route

Any advice welcomed

I used this series of books when I learnt programming and my wife has used this series of books to learn Photoshop.

Its really easy to follow because it has loads of pictures and screenshots to guide you.

Hi, I was the same, much of what i learnt at school completely vanished from my mind. So when I had to start using excel, sum add and subtract was about as far as i got.
I ended up picking up excel for dummies from a car boot and that helped me build my excel knowledge, to where I'm more than confident producing excel sheets for others to use in the knowledge I know they will work!
It also makes sure you know the basics (ive taught a few of our more advanced users a thing or two!) which sometimes get missed trying to learn from trial and error use.

My tip would be nip down to local carboot/ book store/ charity shop/ online and grab an excel book. The ones with practice tasks I find are the best!
