Best hotels for Canton Fair?

I'll be going to phase 3 in early May this year, anyone else visiting?

This will be my first time and wondering if anyone has any hotel recommendations?

The closer the better as I'll be going in for 5 days in a row. Looking max £100 a night which is definitely possibly when booking early.

As far as I know, the hotels next to Canton fair are much expensive than other s that are just a few miles away.

It depends on your budget, of course. We are looking for hotels as well, I will let you know when we find anything.

You're right about that.

I ended up booking the Hilton GZ which is about 20 minutes drive away from the fair.

£650 for 6 nights on lastminute.com, not bad for a 5* hotel.

I'm in China for that week and will probably go to the fair for two days.

We normally stay around 20 minutes from the fair ground as it is a lot cheaper. That and all of the key hotels provide free shuttle buses to the fair.

We generally stay at the Holiday Inn Shifu which is marginally more expensive than the Hilton but a little closer.

I'll let you know if I stay at the Hilton as it may be good to grab a beer and share information.

Hi

The best quality/value hotel which fits into your budget is Crowne Plaza, which is approx a 30 minute shuttle bus away from the Canton fair complex.

The corporate rate is RMB960 (approx £96), which includes all service taxes as well as buffet breakfast (which is excellent).

The hotel opened last year and has full facilities including a great outdoor pool.

The bonus with this hotel is that you are in the heartland of all the good restaurants and bars.

This spring, the Canton fair rates at the better hotels are triple or quadraple the normal tariff rates, especially for the first phase.

Irrespective when you book, the hotels have already increased the rates during this period.

Any assistance needed, please advise.

normally i would like to live in the Soluxe Hotel Guangzhou ,it's a 5 star hotel and it's very new. the most important is just 10 mins to the fair. But it's quite expensive. when i book is already 135 pound per night. So u said 650 pound is very good price already
