Best E-commerce Solutions for Small Businesses?

Maybe a dull question, but what are the best solutions for small e-commerce businesses starting out?

I'm thinking in terms of management systems to help speed up social media, email handling, content management, and any out of the box solutions that are built to help those just starting out, like the company I work for (CDNify).

There is no best solution. Every shop has different needs.

And there are an awful lot more applications than you have listed there. And your second paragraph is about CRM not ecommenrce.

We use Prestashop and for social media we prefer Twitter and Facebook.

They're the only e-commerce CMS platforms that sprung to mind, but if you know of any others then I'd be glad to hear them.

.I have helped small businesses by providing end to end solutions in e-commerce . I used Shopify, Magneto and other tools before but wasn't really happy with them. My advice is to use Django - Oscar to make the CMS. Also install a good recommendation engine .

Either Shopify (which incurs a monthly charge) or Wordpress - Shopify is more robust unless you know what you're doing!

Also, Wordpress would require the Woocommerce plugin, last time I looked it was free

There is no best e-commerce solution. Shopify is pants if you want full control, wordpress is great for small enterprises and magento is a huge beast better suited to larger stores.

The best solution is the one that meets your needs. But as the OP hasn't returned since his ruse was uncovered it's unlikely he even cares anymore.
