Hi,

I've had a new 'toy' from Santa.

I decided to get a iPad for work, and I've downloaded some useful apps...

Which is your favourite business app? Can you recommend any?

I've been using ' Ido - note pad ' it's free and good for note taking etc.

Ben

We have picked 25 small business apps—some of which are cloud services, others for mobile devices, and some of which are standard on-premise software installs.

trying to get a toy to do serious work is rather hard. Now you have sold your soul apple i would recomend that you use third party backup software such as dropbox.

the best app in the world is teamviewer which allows you to take control of your desktop while on the move so you can get a bit of info when you need it rather than holding too much on a nickable item.

I use drop box to save items, only important thing I use is invoice 2 go which I back up on drop box.

Unfortunately I sold my soul a few years ago!

The main thing is to keep apple software away from any pc if you want to be able to get hold of the information at home. It seems that apple deliberately make software that makes using a pc such a pain and by holding onto it so tightly that you have to jump through loads of hoops to get control back. Remember pc based and most programs have transferability as a main feature. Apple and now google are moving towards getting everyone into their "environment" getting out is the problem if you ever need to change.
For businesses owning your data is very important as reading the small print in apple and google's T & C is very frightening. (they can scan content for possible advertising (data security out the window)).
