Hi Potters Marinated Meats,Thanks for getting back to me! The advert will be text, not a visual banner. It willappear on a single indexed page of your website. We represent several industries that might interest you: - Online gaming: you would receive 60USD per year - Finance, telecommunications, tourism or health: you would receive 60USD per yearWe aim to complete payment via secure payment partners Paypal or Moneybookers within48 hours of the advert going live on your site. Also, please read our terms and conditions: www.moredigital.com/terms.pdf.Please let me know which industry you prefer, we'll then let you know which clientfits your site best and draft an advert!Best regards,Annie==================================================Attachments: untitled-[2] 1.9 k [ text/html ] Download | View

Because if it looks too good to be true it normally is!!

Assuming you are 'Potters Marinated Meats' why would you want adverts on online gaming or finance for example??

why can someone say more?

They didn't choose your site specifically to advertise on, its spam from someone looking for links. 1000's of site owners probably have exactly the same message. Only difference is, you are the only one considering it.

*If* Google finds out you have sold links your site *could* be removed from it's index.

You could reply and say you'd be happy to carry the links but they will be no followed (don't pass link juice). They won't bother you any more.

They are offering a lot - unless you are getting 1000's of visitors a day, this seems too much, which makes me suspicious. They may be using it as a way of getting dodgy code on your site.

The other thing to consider is that you site would be associated with random adverts for all sorts of things (assuming it was legit), likely things they would not get away with advertising through the brokers like adwords.

Declining the offer is a wise move, IMHO.

I get these all the time. The people contacting you are on a comission, they get a percentage for every site that signs up. You have no control over the adverts so you could easily be displaying a banner for online poker or even dating sites to your visitors. Is that really the sort of image you want to promote?
