For simplicity and ease of use it has to be play.com for me.

My wife uses boohoo.com every so often and that seems a nice design.

A couple I hate to use are Next and Debenhams... awful to navigate, the search functions are rubbish, the pages are slow and the servers are always crashing! Wonder if they use the same host??

Important to note that the ones mentioned so far as huge, custom builds which will have had a metric assload of cash thrown at them too.

And yet some people still expect the same results with a Wordpress "hack-together" website for 200 quid...

The b&q site does go off into many directions! Research for me lol sort of. Its nice to hear what others like to use.

woods! - let them spend what ever they want its not hard to put elements where they do and save a fortune but for the life of me I cant work out how Amazon does so well!

Design - Yes
Functionality/Usability - Got to be the biggest pile of $hite I've used. There are serious flaws with B & Q's website and has twice in the last two weeks prevented me from spending over £500 with them on their ecommerce site. I just wonder how many other customers they've also lost.

I was half tempted to give them a shout and offer my services just so I at least would have a better shopping experience on their site. Heh

Apart from anything else, the flippin' site keeps going down for "site maintenance" every time I go on it.

Asda... Easy shopping??? Seriously?

Again, I can't stand this website, they make it so increasingly difficult to do your weekly shop it really takes the biscuit. They have no idea about usability and basic ecommerce tips to fast track the process (the only thing they got right was the ability to load you previous shopping lists and reminds you of previously bought items if you want to purchase them again) - Other than that, I would like to see if anyone could do the weekly shopping on ASDA's website in less than two hours It's honestly quicker to drive to the store and walk round the isles.

I know a lot of people don't find Asda easy to use - I think it depends on the user - I can do shopping on Asda within 20 minutes (cheating by using past shopping lists because of the majority of items are on there)

Just been onto the Gucci website. They have it spot on in terms of what I would like my store to look like a store within a store.

Argos and Amazon (not just Amazon the seller, but other sellers on Amazon marketplace too).

Strangely enough, I've never purchased anything online with Argos, but I use it all the time to check whether and which local Argos stores have the product I'm looking for in stock, before visiting that store to buy it.

Asos is pretty good - I find it to be the easiest online clothing store to buy from, and their results back that up.

Although many might not be too keen on the business itself, www.wonga.com does what it does very, very well and intuitively. I've had a play on there out of interest but obviously can't comment on the latter stages of the site, as I've never needed a payday loan!
