Are there any business accounts I can apply for as I have already been turned down.

All I want is to be able to cash the cheques in company name.

sole trader.

thanks

NatWest will give you a business account, even with bad credit history, providing you are honest about it on the application form.

Also HSBC can be good for similar accounts.

Natwest couldn't open account for me because of one small debt years ago, which has been satisfied, it was so long ago I could not prove that I paid. The business manager wants us to join they bank, but...

I've just opened an account with Alliance & Leicester. It was all done online and I was amazed at how quick and easy it was.

I've heared reports of bad service from other people but if all you want to do is cash and pay cheques into it there isn't much that can go wrong really is there?

Try HSBC online.

Fill in the form, admit to the bad credit. THey will then call you to confirm the details and arrange for you to ahve an appointment at a local branch to confirm ID and sign documents.

I know several who have had adverse credit and been ok with HSBC.

I had 2 CCJ's and 7 Defaults and got an account with Barclays, inc cheque book and Visa Debit card. All the other banks turned me down.

Saying that Barclays then turned me down for a Merchant Account but Bank of Scotland opened one for me no problems at all.

I had to show Barlcays proof that the CCJ's were satisified.
