Bank Accounts

Does anyone know if the following feature is available on any business bank account?

Iam looking for something that allows you to send money out online but only once the payment has been authorised buy 2 separate people. That may or may not be in the same location?

So person 1 logs on creates the payment to send money out and then person 2 needs to login to provide the final authorisation on completing this the money would be sent out.

HSBC allow you to create users who can setup payments to be authorised by the main user, but I'm not certain if it can be setup for all payments to require two authorisations.

Hi Matthew,

We use a company called GoCardless for our online transactions.

Using them we send the request for payment of a bill, they see the request and have to authorise it their end, normally via a direct debit but can also be one off. As far as i know it can be used by any bank account you just have to enter your bank details and they do all the rest.

I am not sure if they do two authorisations but may be worth asking the question.

Marcus - Thanks but thats not what Iam really looking for.

Steven - Thats the nest step. I wanted to go to them asking for the feature so I would sound as if I knew what I was talking about.

Yes, all the major banks offer this but it tends to be part of the online banking package offered to medium sized businesses and larger.

For example, Barclays offer this via Business Master (may have changed the name).

Cheaper - Thats good to know I did not think it would be on any free banking solution so thats a good place to start.
