Hi Webboy

Yes I received your PM but when I tried to reply to you the following appears:_

webboy has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove webboy from the recipient list and send the message again.

Perhaps you need to make some changes to your profile to allow you to receive PM's?

Good Morning Marvin

Thank you but I am not looking for people to write content for me - I am offering my services to write content for other people for which I charge 2 pence per word.

I am pleased with how my business is progressing with my private client base continuing to increase.

I have found Copify here in the UK to be excellent and have done a number of content writing projects through Elance.

Thank you anyway for taking the time to read my thread.

Regards

You can try iWriter or put up gigs at Fiverr.com for more content writing jobs.

Thanks

Although my expertise is writing about finance, insurance, banking and debt management I have also written about the likes of party themes, electrical, car leasing and solar paneling.

I have to say I have left Fiverr alone as I charge 2 p per word.

I have just registered with iWriter where I will need to write articles at a lower rate than 2 p per word initially but as you go up their scale the amount you receive increases.

Thanks everyone yet again for the suggestions - much appreciated.

Kindest Regards

Alan

chillibreeze.in/ this is a worthy service for freelance writers. Many Indian writers flock to this place. You can find out a lot of useful info there.

You could try odesk and become a freelancer
lots of people are looking this type of service and need content

There are lots of freelance sites where you can get article writing jobs. On average, however, the pay is very low.

This site might be helpful - www.knitd.com

From what I can gather it's an new app/website for writers to sell articles individually. Journalists, Bloggers, Publishers etc... can all sell content.

Free to join also.

You are lowering yourself too much at that rate Alan. You cannot possibly earn a decent income at rates like $6.50. Elance is ok and you can find clients but avoid odesk, it fills up with low bidding wars you just cannot compete against here in the UK.

Hope this old thread update reaches you. Perhaps a year on, you have progressed a lot and now have an income. If not, I run a LinkedIn group for content writers where I post lots of sites paying for articles, and many as much as $300 an article - mostly web dev and design article writing at those rates.

No joke, no salesy pun here. I have written for these sites and you can ask me about these and in other niches like Finance and Debt articles on the LinkedIn group. I can't post the link yet, need 30 posts but my sig leads to it from the blog page. The group has 4000 members and very active with discussions.

I will try and bring the pains and successes talked about to this forum. Lots of interesting topics being discussed like rates, contracts, best sites to contact, etc.

Let me know here in the thread if a year on, things are still dicey.
